Beata Longo, M.A. CFY-SLP

Beata Longo, originally from Chicago, attended DePaul University for her undergraduate work and the University of Texas at Austin for her master's degree in speech pathology.  Prior to her career in speech pathology, Beata was employed as a teacher assistant in the Chicago Public Schools and Mills Elementary in Austin.  Beata has volunteered as an ATL Community Service lead, Junior Achievement participant, Chicago Cares participant, and a Muscular Dystrophy camp counselor.

Beata has experience in outpatient clinic settings, the public school system, at the Texas School for the Blind and Visually Impaired and at the Regional Day School for the Deaf. She also participated in diagnosis and treatment of fluency disorders at the UT Austin Center for Stuttering Intervention and Research. Her areas of interest include fluency, bilingualism, child language and articulation disorders and AAC.  Beata also received a training grant from the Department of Education for treating multicultural populations.

Beata joined CTSPS in 2011 and brings with her a unique perspective as a speaker of English, Polish and Spanish. She evaluates and treats monolingual and bilingual adult and pediatric patients.
