Janet Folmar M.S. CCC-SLP

Janet M. Folmar earned a Bachelor's degree in Speech Pathology and Audiology and Rehabilitation Studies and a Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology with a minor in Audiology from the University of North Texas. Janet enjoys evaluating and treating patients throughout their lifespan. She is constantly challenged by all aspects of the field of speech language pathology: articulation disorders, expressive and receptive language disorders, aphasia, dysphagia as well as cognitive-linguistic disorders.

Janet has developed special interests and skills in newborn, infant and child feeding/eating disorders (including picky eaters and behavioral feeding disorders), tracheoesophageal voice restoration following laryengectomy and voice or resonance disorders following cleft palate surgery or due to velopharyngeal insufficiency. She is also a Healthy Mothers, Healthy Babies breastfeeding educator.

Janet has been part of Central Texas Speech Pathology Services, Inc. since 1992 and currently works part time. She and her husband, John, are homeschooling parents of three young children.
